What's the best telephoto lens to buy for a Canon Rebel Xsi?

1. List EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM
2. List EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM
3. List EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L USM (no IS)
4. List EF 70-200mm f/4 L USM (no IS)
5. List EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM

The best for the money really depends on your budget since you get what you pay for, or what you need it for. A pro sports shoot would probably go for the 400 f/2.8 or 70-200 f/2.8 or both. A bird photographer might go for the 500 f/4 or 400 f/5.6. Someone on a budget might consider the 18-200, 75-300 or 70-300. On average though, the best telephoto for the money seems to be the 70-200 f/4 non IS which goes for around $ 600. Its an L lens and the cheapest one by a bit. Its very sharp and very well built and has brilliant image quality. If I wanted to spend under $ 1000 for a telephoto lens and didnt need an f/2.8 aperture that lens would be it.

The List EOS 5D Mark II is popping up in supplies everywhere now. I was tipped off that the Best Buy on 5th Avenue in New York City had them in stock… ran over there as quick as I may maybe… and it is mine! What a rush! Bought at the MSRP of 99 USD.

I don’t want to hold online
Please help as i am a bit clueless
Also it would be excellent if a camera bag and/or SD card is built-in

Tottenham Court Road is well known for it’s many electronic outlets. Play them off against each additional. It’s always possible that there IS cheaper there but not advertised online.
If you go in with cash, you can probably get them to throw in a card or cheap bag by the theater arts hesitant or mentioning another store is cheaper.
You have nothing to lose…you can go elsewhere. They can lose a sale.
