what is best professional camera canon or nikon?

there a lot of differnt type of camera and i just want a camera that take excellent photos that have best quality and video that take in hd and delight till me what type? thanks

Answer by Peter
Well for the best quality video, canon hands down (7D, t2i, 5d II, 1d mark 4, 60d)

nikons will do better for pictures though (d90, d5000, d3100)

i only listed cameras with hd video function

also check out the gh1

i personally use canon

Answer by Luis
They are both excellent. In a very general sense, the differences can be broken down like this

Get a Canon if you want to do Video, really delight in their color rendition, or their crazy zooms

Get a Nikon if you want crazy high ISO, super tough bodies, and those fantastic Nikkor lenses

Really, once you get into the higher end “professional cameras” it is really more about finding the right tool for the job. Neither one is better, just some are more apt than others.

Also remember, it is more about the lenses than the camera. People generally buy the camera system that supports the lenses they have or need. I would much rather have fantastic lenses on a mediocre body than vice versa.

Hey,

You want to spend 500$ + on a camera and you didn’t even read anything about them..

They’re called DSLRs, not professional. If you’re terrible at photography and can’t learn, don’t get one.

Here’s a post called ‘Export a DSLR, what’s vital, megapixels, features, brand, price, quality and which one to buy – http://www.the-dslr-photographer.com/2009/03/which-dslr-to-buy.html

Excellent luck! The site has many more tutorials, tips, reviews and guides!

I’m assuming you want a digital SLR. And when you say cheapest I’m assuming that you mean best value for your money.

Canon EOS 20D (8.2 mp) is what I would recommend or EOS 400D. The 400D is lighter and less vital and is 10 mp. But I reckon 10 mega pixels is too much. The 20D is doubtless the better option unless you are plotting on printing large extent photos.

A pro camera will not take pro pictures unless a pro is by it.

Are you a pro?

In the hands of a professional photographer, the canon rebel produces professional results.

It’s all relative.
