This is my most recent hold and it’s absolutely fantastic. The XMI X-mini II speaker system is one of the best mini speakers I’ve ever heard especially for the sub £15 price tag.
If you normally use mainframe speakers and you’re looking for something with a small more kick then one of these should do the trick. It’s small enough to take with you, the rechargeable battery life lasts for hours on end and it’s incredibly loud. No more ‘tinny’ sounds for me when I’m on the go.
Best gadget buy of 2010 so far I reckon.
Cyberpower or iBuypower or Alienware or Dell XPS or ? I worked out the cost for building my own and seems it would only cost a small more to get from one of these places and would make my life simpler to buy a built system. I have heard terrible reviews on all…What to do?
Looking for a desktop not a mainframe (that is why in the desktop category); budget is around $ 1500.

You’ll get the most for your money from Cyberpower. I wouldn’t touch Dell/Alienware with a stick for gaming grade machines. They’re WAY overpriced for the components you get.
Obviously, as you already mentioned, its the cheapest to build your own and you can always get the exact components you want. But you’re assess, you can get a prebuilt one for only a small bit more.

I suggest you go with ASUS or a sager, as they are, hands down THE 2 heavyweight contenders in the gaming market.
gaming laptops start at about 1100$ (if you are lucky)
ASUS G72GX is around 1150-1300$ ebay and bestbuy are the best places to get that.
the newer model the G72GX is going to be called the G73GXH-A1, minor cosmetic differences and a 5870ATI GPU instead of the Nvidia GTX260
the ASUS uses MXM 2.1 and I assume both models only real difference would be the branding on the Graphics chips and about 300-500$ price difference (it dousnt only sound stupid but the price difference for such simular laptops is!)
Sager may maybe be found by googling it.
Like every one else here knows, I to, highly discourage you from HP ENVY, XPS AlienWare for gaming hardware!

Cost a small more like $ 1000 These gaming pc’s will be built on order for the mid range pc’s and high range pc’s , the price of the pc can be varied depending upon the components, nearly all pre-built have this pick what components you want,so the bottom line is do you want to spend $ 500 on a warranty + $ 500 for them putting the parts in a case then ship it to you,oh yes you don’t know what parts you want dang then come back here question what parts are excellent, then when you have all your personal information on your new per-built computer it has conundrum then ship it back to them pray they don’t lose anything, oh your smart spend two hours backing everything up before you ship it,set back for a week or two reckon to yourself I wish I would of took the time to study read about tested components what works with what built it for myself + would know how to fix it or at least a excellent thought of where to find the info on how to fix it,have you ever known or know of someone that never had a gaming computer conundrum,if you can say yes then buy the computer that person is using..

The price is right: The 99p Supplies chain has emerged as a recession winner
Christmas came early in 2008 for Nadir Lalani and his sons, Hussein and Faisal. Which was weird, because it was the UK’s first austerity Christmas in years. Retailers all around them were wringing their hands and the British high street was beginning to feel the sting of the dreaded credit-crunch.
