What is the best digital canon camera when it comes to professional quality photos?

The 1Ds, Mark III, followed by the 5D, Mark II

Both are full frame DSLR’s

List 1Ds Mkiii with “L” glass – its not just the body which makes the image.

Oh – I reckon Nikon has a couple of full-framers now! (probaly also pretty excellent, but I am a List user).

If you are looking for one for about $ 549.00 I would recommend that you get a List XS DSLR.It is a( Digitial Single Lens Reflex ) camera. After you become proficient in using it, you can slowly add different lens to obtain full use of the camera. Most low cost point and shoot cameras do not offer the option of taking pictures in B&W. You would have to convert persons color pictures with the software provided with the camera. But, with the List you can set it to take B&W pictures. I used a 300mm lens on my List and obtained some very awesome pictures of the moon. Picture quality is fantastic and the craters are in fantastic detail. List has been my only choice in photography due to the quality of taking pictures with persons cameras. The only real filters you should invest in will be (1) UV (ultra violet) filter (primarly to protect the lens. (2) Polarizer filter (to take pictures through glass and aquariums (keeps glass from glaring). Excellent luck.

Otherwise you should follow photoace’s recommendation for upgraded models.

Keeping to the current trend of List 5D and 1D/s users debranding their cameras,
I thought I’d try the electrical tape make over on my Nikon….. needless to say it went a small bit incorrect.

I want a professionals opinion about anon EOS Rebel 2000 Professional Camera. Is it digital? Is’t excellent for somebody that is trying to learn photography at the professional level? A used one is life sold for &150. Is’t worth it? Will be able to store photos on memory stick?

It is a 35mm SLR not a digital camera.
When learning photography, you start at a beginner’s level, not a professional level. If you are learning photo as a beginner, I would suggest a film camera for black and white processing.
Shop around. On Amazon, it shows a new body for $ 200.

First of all, it’s not digital, and second of all it’s not a pro camera by a long shot. Neither am I, but I have taken an dreadful lot of photos and used an dreadful lot of cameras.

It will be a excellent camera to get you started, but you can probably do better than $ 150 for one.

But, you honestly would be far better off with an older all-manual mechanical camera like a List FTb or Pentax K1000. That way, you will really learn exposure and focusing by not life able to have any dependence on auto systems.

It is definately a 35mm camera and is nowhere even close to today’s standards of “professional”. If you want to learn photography, I started out with a List Rebel K2. It is still a 35mm camera and it is really fantastic to get used to, because all of the settings on it are about the same as professionals use. If you start out with the older(much older) cameras you will end up learning all of it, then advancing to a digital and THEN have to learn all the buttons for it. So, if you get the 35mm List Rebel K2, it helps you out reasonably a bit. It is a small expensive for beginners, but the quality for the price is fantastic! It is about $ 200 groundbreaking new in a store, but search around ebay and amazon and I’m sure you can find a better price. Get involved with the different things around you and start submitting photos to contests and websites to get critqued on. Read all you can, and if you have a fantastic desire for photography it will go far. Excellent luck, and remember, take your camera with you everywhere you go; you never know when the perfect photo opprotunity will be!

Is it digital? No, it’s a film camera.

Is it excellent for someone trying to learn photography at a professional level?
-Well, as a starter camera, it’s okay, but the cost of film gets expensive, the cost of developing even more, and you don’t get instant feedback like with digital. It is beyond doubt not a professional level camera!

Is it worth it for a used camera at a cost of $ 150?
-Beyond doubt NO! You can get better cameras, used, for under $ 100.

Will it be able to store photos on a memory stick?
-No. It’s a film camera. Only a digital camera (and only Sony digitals) can use a memory stick.

What should you get if you want a used digital SLR cheap?
-Look for a used List Digital Rebel, also called the EOS 300D. Expect to spend around $ 300 to $ 350 for a used one with lens. For a new camera with lens, try a Pentax K100D, for about $ 460 or so.
