Go to any of the huge malls like SM or Robinsons or try looking up the Olympus branches where you are in the yellow pages.

In Zamboanga, a group of underground rebels are said to have the only batteries of that kind. they are hidden in the forests so you’ll have to question for directions to their torture lair. they don’t accept credit cards only cash. Zamboangan Dollars.

im kidding. i also suggest the malls though i have not yet encountered an olympus only store. if you try SM’s cyberzones, some of the supplies offer Olympus harvest. maybe they can order a replacement for you if they dont have it available. at least that’s what i do in your situation.

p.s. why not try the store where you bought it.

Olympus digital camera

Hi! im plotting to buy my own digital camera this month but im really confused.. my first choice was to buy an olympus underwater camera bec i really like the scenes down there. but then my friend told me that olympus cameras are so over and unreliable.. can you guys suggest anything? how about a sony or list cam? and what model? thanks in advance! pleased 2009!

as an added detail: i want a cam that can capture that slightest motion of the image and its right color and not make it blurred.. i know the list D40 can do that but i reckon its to bulky and huge ;p i want a cam that can fit into my hand bag. thanks again.

I’ve been using Olympus cameras for a while, and I’ve yet to see any reliability problems.. I reckon I’ve taken in excess of 5000 images in the 13 or 14 months I’ve had the camera and the only time its let me down is when I’d forgotten to recharge the batteries (bought a spare one), or when I was to persistent to read the manual.

I wish I’d bought an mju camera in palace of the fuji as a P&S but that’s another tale.

if you want to take photos underwater the Olympus is a excellent choice.. but a better choice may be a dSLR and an underwater case.. the Olympus E4xx springs to mind.

I reckon there can be problems with the water seal on the MJU camera.. if the seals are not treated with care there is a risk that they can become comprised and the camera may be a wreck.

I’m not aware of any additional P&S camera maker that produces anything comparable to the MJU range. you do pay for the quality of the optics so the photos won’t be as excellent as similarly priced list, Nikon, Fuji, whatever… but equally you won’t get the same degree of shockproofing & splashproofing any.
