is it still under warrenty?

Answer by Petra_au
If you are unable to get the camera repaired under warranty, you may as well throw the camera away, because repairs will most likely cost more than the price of a new camera.
In future you will need to be more careful, because digital cameras cannot usually survive a fall (especially if the lens is out at the time).
Answer by epic_laydown
the repair may maybe cost over 100 dollars. Not sure how much you paid for that camera, but the warranty will not cover the cost if you were at fault. You dropped it, so you gotta pay for it. Might be better to buy a new one. A fixed camera may maybe always have the conundrum come back.

You are the one person in a hundred who should have bought Best Buy’s “All Perils” warranty. Did you?

i have the powershot sd 870. i bought mine at circuit city for $ 300 compared to bestbuy for $ 350. another option is costco if you have a membership. the 870 there is $ 319, but it comes with a 2BG SD card. i hoped this helped!
