Is Best Buy a rip off?

I went to a Best Buy last week to buy a plasma tv that was on sale for about $ 1,700 it was a 50″ plasma, i get Best Buy ads in my sunday papper, that tv that i wanted to to buy was listed in their ad as confirmed above, well this is what i go when i got to the store,
sales rep told me that the tv was listed incorrect, it was for a 42″ plasma, he said if i wanted the 50″ i may maybe get for $ 2,700. i got mad because that is fake advertisement. i take the ad with me to the store and showed him the ad, showed the the tv i wanted that was on sale. i will no longer shop at Best Buy (Worst Buy) ever again. I went to bestbuy.com and this is what i got,

On the front cover of the 9/23 Best Buy printed ad insert, they mistakenly priced the 50″ Panasonic TH-50PZ77U (8501711) at $ 1709, after $ 90 savings. They intended to advertise the 42″ Panasonic TH-42PZ77U (8501751) at $ 1709, after $ 90 savings. Best Buy will not be honoring this price on the 50″ Panasonic TH-50PZ77U (8501711).

Best Buy apologizes for any inconvenience and will offer a @100 instant rebate on all Plasma Televisions this week. This instant rebate will be reflected in the online and in-store prices, and well be reduced from fixed sale prices.

I despise best buy! I bought a camera and a warinty and then the screen cracked on my camera so i brought it in and they were like “oh well sorry your warinty doesn’t cover that” and i was like what? they said anything that happens to the outside of the camera doesn’t count and i was like why didn’t you tell me that when i bought the warinty?! and then they wanted me to give them $ 50 for an estimate of how much it would cost to fix and he said it would probably be about the same price as the camera itself and i was like well the why would i give you $ 50 just to find that out? I despise best buy and i’m never going there again.

Yes they are…my friend works there and we always look at his money off and what it really costs them.

HDMI cable – retail 160, he got it for 15
50 foot rj45 cable – retail 50 or higher, his price, 2.79

According to Panasonic the 50″ plasma TV retails for $ 2800. Agreed BBs price of $ 2700 with a $ 100 rebate I would say they are right on with their price. Sounds like you want to capitalize on an honest mistake. Retailers reserve the right to assess ad misprints.

Skin Guard for Panasonic GF1

I like my GF1. I like it so much that I buy it presents. Here’s one that keeps it pleased and scratch-free.

Bought from Ebay, the Skin Guard sticks directly onto the camera’s body and lens cap, and comes with a screen protector too.

But best of all, it gives the camera a vintage look with faux leather/vinyl end (call me lame, but I have the urge to make my GF1 look as retro as is possible). I’ll be posting some pictures of the camera in its new trim soon.

Is there any site online or shop (in London) I can buy Lumix LX3, groundbreaking new but not from E-Bay under £310.00?

PS. I’ll give the best answer to whom best recommendation.
