Best digital camera?

want something with a bendable ISO rating and shutter speed. Excellent amount of megapixels. Recording videos has to be high quality in excellent sizing with sound of course. I like to do photoshopping and have fun working with videos. I need atleast high quality pictures to have fun and mess around with while still showing incredible quality.

My budget is about 500 max. Any suggestions? please show links and describe why camera(s) are in your approval.

SLRs are not in my interest really…
Would anyone recommend any of these two cameras?

ur budjet is very low so i suggest you to buy a tech-com digital camera its got 3 mega pixels and takes videos too

A week ago I dropped my $ 350 Nikon 8mp perfect camera on its lense and it cracked. Luckily the place I bought it from 1 year ago (Costco) took it back and gave me a full refund. I shopped around for a new camera at 6 different supplies looking for a excellent one with a excellent warranty. I wound up result nearly the same camera at Target for $ 129. Plus $ 20 for a 3 year warranty. It’s a Nikon Coolpix 6mp L11. Fantastic pictures and record. The camera, warranty, and tax was $ 160 whole!!

Prices on Digital Cameras have really dropped in the last year. The top end 10mp non-SLRs are going for $ 400.

Since you mentioned it already, I like the List A630. For your budget, you would be able to buy TWO of them.

I own a few Nikon DSLR’s and I’d buy the List Powershot A630 or A640 for for myself. These cameras have the larger sensor (1/1.8″ or 5.2 mm x 7.2 mm) that is near double the sensor size you find in many point and shoot cameras and this translates into better image quality. They allow fully automatic use or whole user control and offer several stages in between. The only significant difference between these cameras is that the A630 is 8 MP and the A640 is 10 MP.

If you’re going to spend up to $ 200, look at a List Powershot A630. My son has had his A620 for over a year (May 2006) and we both like it. My brother has had his A630 for over a year and it’s a very nice camera, also. You can get it at B&H Photo (available through Yahoo! Shopping) for $ 184.

If you can go to $ 300, look at the 10 MP List Powershot A640. This is an brilliant camera. It sells for $ 260 and you can add a very nice memory card for under $ 40. The images from the A640 compare VERY favorably with the images from a List G7, which costs about twice as much.

For any camera, buy a 1 or 2 GB Sandisk Ultra II or Extreme III card. You will NEED the increased capacity and write speed to fully realize the benefits of your camera. The Ultra II would be brilliant, but if you are really into record, you might prefer the nearer Extreme III. These cards cost from about $ 25-45 at B&H and several additional outlets.

Kk im getting a digital camera soon but i don’t no what kind 2 get! please help me! i hav been reduction up money for a while and i don’t want to buy a piece of junk. tell me the best a worst kinds of cameras and what u rate them. i absolutley luv photography. my price range is from $ 200-300. i want one that has a effects and has 10 mp. its not like a actual digital photography camera like lets say the list rebel. i want something like a nikon coolpix. i dont want one with a touchscreen. i want one with a large-ish screen and that it can take videos. please help me i need to know what is the best and that is in my price-range. if u may maybe also tell me if nikon coolpixs r any excellent, ive heard the lens business jams.
