Best digital camera under $200? going to Japan?
why are some 8-9mega pixel cameras cheaper than some 6-7 mega pixel cameras?
im not looking for any HD cameras, but I would like a digital camera that has nice and apparent shoots. Like normal shots, not blurry or anything, because I am going on a trip to japan next summer for 2 whole months.
Im really not sure which to get, I am on a budget, but i dont want a crappy picture.

Get a lot of practice in, in taking photos before trip. Most times crappy pictures as you place it is a result of photographer having camera on incorrect background or movement. Consider:
List PowerShot A570 IS. Shop around can be gotten reasonably a lot cheaper than Best Buy $ 200-. Has 4X optical zoom, 7 megapixels, has manual controls in addition to auto.
Also has image stabilizer.

“why are some 8-9mega pixel cameras cheaper than some 6-7 mega pixel cameras”
As technology improves the cost of producing higher mega pixel cameras go down thus quick the savings on to the customers.
You might notice the higher priced lower mega pixel cameras to be slightly older models than many of the newer less expensive higher mega pixel ones.
$ 200.00 for a digital camera (a decent one anyway) will be kind of tough to find. If you don’t mind used, check ebay (from a reputable seller) or a used shop locally.
I would wait until just when your getting ready to travel. That is about 7 months from now and you might be able to find mid-priced cameras that is on the market today.
Buy with plenty of time to get used to the camera though.
Maybe between now and then you may maybe stash away $ 20.00 a month an get a $ 320.00 camera.

I want to buy a digital camera so I don’t have to use my dad’s anymore. I am very much into photography and I do know a lot about cameras and the quality of a photo. Mega pixels are vital. I would like a camera with at least 6 or 7 mega pixels. The higher the better. Price is also a huge deal. I am in college and all the money I make from my job goes towards school and food for school. So I can’t really spend too much. I want to get a real professional camera someday when I can afford it. But, for now I would just like something small and simple to handle but I want it to take excellent photos. I know a lot of public do not like the Kodak Simple Share. Are there any additional cameras out there you like that is $ 200 or under??? I would even be willing to go to $ 250 if I had to. Thanks!
ughhh I meant your opinion not our. I’m dumb.

I have a Sony cyber shot. It has 7.2 mega pixels. It is very simple to use and was only like in the 120′s but I got it at Christmas so I don’t know if it has gone up or not. hope that helps!
