I’m looking to buy a fisheye lens for my HD camera and I’m wondering if this fisheye lens http://www.amazon.com/Panoramic-Fisheye-Panasonic-Definition-Camcorders/dp/B002GJMOB6/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1262504158&sr=1-6 at amazon.com will work for my Panasonic HDC-TM10 Camera? Any help would be awesome thanks!!

Your camera has a 30.5 mm lens threads. As long at the fish-eye lens has the same it should be fine.

According to that camera’s product site at panasonic.com

http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/shop/Cameras-Camcorders/Camcorders/Hi-Def-Camcorders/model.HDC-TM10K.S_11002_7000000000000005702#tabsection

it has a filter diameter of 30.5mm. The lens you linked us to has compatible camcorders (Panasonic HDC-HS9, HDC-SX5, HDC-SD1, HDC-SD5) that have lenses with 37mm filter diameters.

You may maybe use a “step-down” ring – or just get a fisheye lens made for the 30.5mm mount your camcorder has.

Panasonic HVX200 DVCPRO HD Camcorder, I’ve written about the camera here.

Does anyone know what hand held mic (like a reporter would use) would be best suited for an Panasonic HD record camera? I am a small lost and wondering if there is a excellent universal mic or if I need to get something specific.

Answer by Small Dog
Is that a Panasonic high definition or hard dics drive record camera?

Which model? Does it have audio-in connection(s)? What kind?

No sense alternative a mic until we know what audio in relations are available… Can’t know what is available until you tell us the model number of the record camera…

Is is a PV-GS400? AG-DVX100? AG-HVX200? Something else?

I would look into omni directional microphones. Omni directional microphones are microphones that “can pick up sounds from virtually any direction”. These mics will let you get the most out of interviews in the field.
