What is the best Canon HD camera to buy?

I’m shopping for a HD consumer camera and have looked all over, and I was wondering what the best Canon HD camera was, in terms of quality and price. I was looking at the vixia hf100, and i just have no thought how it compares to others like the hv30 or any of there other HD cameras

Canon EOS 5D Mark II Unboxing – Pleased Holidays Indeed!

The Canon EOS 5D Mark II is popping up in stores everywhere now. I was tipped off that the Best Buy on 5th Avenue in New York City had them in stock… ran over there as quick as I could… and it is mine! What a rush! Bought at the MSRP of 99 USD.

I bought one on ebay for CHEAP, and it takes about 7 shots before it dies. Do I need to buy an authoritative Canon brand one if I want to get 300-600 shots out of it?

What are the different types of batteries (Li-ion, etc)?

Let this be a lesson to you, with regard to proprietary batteries. You get what you pay for. The NB-2LH is the only battery type the rebel XTi uses. And yes, you should buy the Canon brand. I don’t trust Impact. (though I’ve heard they work)

I always carry an extra battery with my XTi. I can’t remember what brand it is, but I do know that it isn’t the Canon brand. I got it from Best Buy and haven’t had any problems with it. It lasts just as long as my Canon battery.

First, I am a professional photographer. I count on my equipment to work each day.

I buy all batteries from e-bay. Not used ones but new and not the canon brand but an off brand. They have always performed better then the canon brand as far as length of time between recharging and overall life span. Why pay $ 50 for 1 when you can go get 2 for under $ 25 that will do better then the canon version.

I was very loath to buy a non-canon battery for my xti. I went ahead and bought one from overstock.com
I reckon this is the one I got for my xti. Check the facts on your battery and equate to this one or they have many others but mine is a CTA brand. Over 40 excellent reviews.
