Sony digital cameras, like them or not?

I just recently bought a Sony A300. I havent had a real chance to take it around the block so to speak. I was just wondering on what the going opinion on Sonys and their excellent points and terrible. Thanks ahead of time.

I like all the brands, I’m over the brand loyalty thing.

Excellent points for Sony -

in camera sensor cleaners
in camera image stabliser
can buy zeiss glass for them
the flagship a900 is affordable

Terrible points -

having sony tattoed on ones brow is not as kool as having nikon tattoed on ones brow

This was my main travel camera from 2000-2003. A fantastic small camera. Very well built. This was the first of the P series and sold for 9.00 in 2000.

In researching an answer to your question I found a Indiscriminate company that has digital cameras. They ship to the UK (in addition to Canada and the US) You can check to see if they ship to Ireland.
