Review on this Camcorder I Might Buy?

Review on this Camcorder I Might Buy?

Ok, so I found this camcorder at my local Walmart and it only cost $ 40 which is extremely cheap so I hesitated to buy it. Please look at the pic below and if you have or have had a camcorder like this please tell me if it is any good or whether or not it is worth buying. If it is not worth my money, is there another good quality cheap camcorder? By good quality I mean something that records clear and perfect. No blur, fuzz, etc.

Hi there,
I’m a film student who also works in the industry so I guess I know a bit about these things.
When buying a camera I usually ask myself the question “will this particular tool be suited to the kind of work I will be using it for?”
So I guess the next step is what will YOU be using it for?
Will it be for something to give to the kids for a bit of fun? or will you be using it for travel, parties and home movies?

If its none of those, will you be using it to make a short film or something in the professional area?
If its something for just a bit of messing around then I think this camera is fine.

If you want to use it for more complex tasks like the ones I have mentioned then I wouldn’t recommend it at all (unless you are going for a certain rough look eg. ‘The Blair Witch Project’)

By the sounds of it you sound like you want a good quality image so I would not recommend that camera to you going on the info you have provided.

In the film world you get what you pay for generally speaking.
This also applies to hand cams as well to a certain extent.

From experience, a standard DV camera I could recommend for a good quality picture would be the sony PD150.
Its much more than $ 40 but then as I mentioned earlier you get what you pay for.

Hope this helps!

I agree with rOAR’s answer, but I think (s)he’s being too optimistic – it’s highly unlikely that that camcorder’s going to produce video that meets your definition of good quality, even for just messing around. I think your cheapest option is too look for an entry level MiniDV camcorder. They’ll be quite a bit more expensive but you should be able to pick up a used one.

Ghosts are real
“It is possible that there exists emotions that are still unknown to us. Do you remember how electrical currents and unseen waves were laughed at? The knowledge about man is still in its infancy.” (Albert Einstein) Ghosts are real this is evidenced by, chemical and electrical energy, explained evidence, such as pictures, videos, and personal experience. Ghosts have been scientifically proven by the fact that humans have both chemical and electrical energy in their body. These energies always exist due to the rule that it can't ever be destroyed even after death. Ghosts still posses that chemical and electrical energy and this makes it more sufficient to find them because there is highly professional equipment that detect that particular energy. The most commonly used equipment is, EMF detector, (Electro Magnetic Field), EVP recorder, (Electronic Voice Phenomena), a digital video camera, and a digital temperature checker. Ghosts have been caught unintentionally on cameras by non believers and believers. The belief and disbelief of ghosts have given many people jobs, because people want to find the "unexplainable", and be the one with the explanation, when the only logical explanation is ghosts are real. Everybody in the world has a religion or culture, and every one of them believe in some sort of ghost. The majority of the populations of the U.S believe in ghost, because of the videos, pictures, and encounters of ghosts. Ghosts have been seen in asylums, homes, hospitals, grave yards, at a construction site, abandoned buildings and about everywhere you can possibly think of they have been spotted.
Some people don't really know what ghosts are. Due the outlook TV, movies, and more have presented them to be this spooky creature that wants to harm you, and that's not really what they are. Ghosts are disembodied souls from deceased humans. They roam this earth because they either don't know they have passed away, they have a case to solve. As an example, investigators told their family that their loved one committed suicide and truth was he or she was murdered. The other common reason for them here is they are looking for something or someone. Ghosts have no sense of time passing.
As Albert Einstein once quoted, "”It is possible that there exists emotions that are still unknown to us. Do you remember how electrical currents and unseen waves were laughed at? The knowledge about man is still in its infancy.” The evidence is in every one of us, we have and will always have chemical and electrical energy, our equipment will soon be even greater than the ones we have now. We will also have our experiences, pictures, videos and have truthful concrete evidence that ghost are real.

and please do not copy this, my teacher will find it and give a zero for plagragism–and this is for a final grade…

I’ll show you a couple of problem spots, and you can read them over and see what you think…
“There exists emotions..”
“Due the outlook TV”
Read the sentences over, and listen to what you read, then close your eyes and say them out loud.. maybe you’ll see where to change them.
“truthful concrete evidence that ghost are real.”

Read that and listen to what you actually say.

Then try that with the rest of it, sentence by sentence…. I’m kind of teaching you how to fish here, rather than giving you a fish.. showing you how to self correct.
Hope this helps.

My next camcorder to be featured is the 1985 JVC GX-S700 2/3″ Saticon tube camera with detachable lens. Semi-pro, used by both consumers, videographers and studio cameramen. This is my favourite out of my tube camera collection and has the best image quality. The image quality can match or even outrate modern digital camcorders. They were expensive when they came out costing around 00. I got mine for less than 0!
Video Rating: 4 / 5
