Olympus mju 300 Digital camera and 2GB memory card Type M+?
Hi, I have got an Olympus mju 300 Digital camera, and I have bought a 2GB XD Type M+ memory card, though when I place the 2GB memory card in, it takes the camera a excellent 15 seconds to start up, whereas with the original 16MB memory card, it takes less than 3 seconds to start up.
I want to know if there is any solution to this conundrum.
Thank you.

All the bits are marked with notes (hover over the photo)
Don’t reckon I can get much more gear without a new bag.
Not Pictured are the contents of the front pockets (memory cards, batteries, USB cables, earplugs, pens, business cards, sometimes chargers for cameras & laptop, remote shutter release, PClix)
Taken with my dad’s Olympus.
the model is NO.FR-340

You can get a SDHC memory card at Walmart for about $ 10. Other seats like Target and K Mart will also have them. Best Buy as well.

I found an FE-340 and it uses the ancient xD card which is no longer made and can be about twice the cost of a standard SD or SDHC card
Here is one source for them

As you can see a 1 gb card costs about $ 22. 8 gb SDHC cards cost about $ 25
