Nikon digital camera doesn't work anymore. Hellllllllp? :(?

I have a Nikon digital camera, a few months ago I connected it to the computer with the incorrect cord, not noticing.
And ever since then it won’t turn on.. any thought what it could be? and if it’s worth trying to get flat?
It’s not that ancient either.
Thanks peeps.
It’s not the batteries either.
I’m not that stupid lol.

if you want to make whatever effect you want, you do. Add a screen or two and some gels possibly,

get the base model nikon dslr and a decent likeness lens

I picked up a LightSphere from Gary Fong for my SB-600, it gives a nice diffused set alight source. I shoot a honest quantity of portraits and like my D90 for that. Excellent image quality that won’t break the bank. For even better the D300s is a higher build quality.

Not necessarily. You might try a diffuser made by Mr. Fong. I reckon they are under $ 50 or so.

Generally, umbrellas and soft boxes are for larger strobes, the sb800 is not meant for them. Of course breaking rules is what photography is all about, but still it’s considered a no-no.

I will also recommend Gary Fongs Set alight Sphere, there are numerous models to choose from. the one I bought is the cloud model. It attaches to the end of the sparkle easily, don’t forget the rubber band it’s critical. Once it’s on there, there are very few reasons to ever take it off.

As far as camera’s go, the rule of thumb is to buy the best you can afford and then get a small bit more than that. The reasoning is you will never have enough camera, so if you have to go into a small bit of debt to get it, it’s worth it.

I cracked open my wallet and bought a D700, it is easily the best I have ever owned, but there are a lot of fantastic camera’s out there for a lot less money.

There is an ancient saying that the thrill of a excellent price is soon overshadowed by the disappointment of low quality.

A D700 is very pricey (2600.00 for body only), but it’s an incredible camera, a D300 is nice too, but it has a less vital sensor, a D90 is a excellent choice too, it is not so hard on the wallet and has some video . D5000 is another choice that might work. Stay away from anything like a D30– it’s junk, D60- not terrible but not recommended either.

Really, LOTs of people use on camera flashes on a set alight stand with umbrellas. Gary Fong’s diffuser is very excellent under the right situation – things like low, white ceilings and white walls for bouncing the set alight.

Check out this group. Their whole lives revolve around SB-800′s used off cameras (and SB-600 and 580EX II and Vivtar 285HC etc).

I evenly use my 430EX and Vivitar 285 off camera with shoot through umbrellas.
