Hd panasonic lumix camera question?

Hey, so i just got a new Panasonic lumix 12.1 mega pixel camera and i start recording an hd video and it says i have 8 min.s of recording time. I have a 4 gb card in it and the battery is fully charged. i don’t understand why it only records hd for 8 mins

All these digital cameras have a length limit
I have Nikon D3100 and I can only shoot HD videos of 10 minutes
I don’t know why but I think the manufactures wanted to tell us that these cameras are made for shooting photos not videos

Actually the limits on a lot of cameras are either to prevent overheating of sensors or because there’s a maximum file size on the memory cards.

8 min is not a lot of time of HD video with 4 gb card. I would check to see what the video quality settings are set at and possibly the type of memory card you have.

Panasonic HVX200 DVCPRO HD Camcorder, I’ve written about the camera here.

I have a Panasonic DMC-ZS3 12x HD camera. I took videos on it right away. But I downloaded the camera’s software onto my computer after the videos were filmed. I then discovered that since the videos were taken before the software was downloaded, my computer can’t find them. I have already tried plugging my camera into the computer and putting the memory card into my computer. None of this works. So how do I get those videos onto my computer??

You don’t need to install panasonics software in order to get your pictures and videos, all you have to do is
1. go to My Computer,
2. open the removable disk named LUMIX,
3. open the DCIM folder,
4. copy the folder with PANA to whereever you like on your computer.
