Affordable HD camcorder / digital camera for makeup tutorials?

Affordable HD camcorder / digital camera for makeup tutorials?

I just started my own makeup tutorials channel and want to buy an affordable excellent quality (best bang for the buck for possibly under $ 300) video camera / camcorder. Like I said, I want the camera to be affordable, because I can’t spend too much money on it. It also needs to be high definition and make nice colours on videos. Quite importantly, I need to be able to film for myself doing makeup (so I need something that can either flip or has a front camera etc.)

Also, it should be tripod attachable.

Any thoughts? I look at Sanyo Xacti ($ 150 smth) and the Sony Webbie ($ 139 or smth). Are these excellent? Any other cameras / camcorders you can reckon of? Thanks.

hands down sanyo xacti—i use it and ITS AWESOME….
even though i got mine 6 yrs back, and it is 3.2 mp….itstill takes videos sooooo flawlssly
but it sucks at taking still pictures….
also the battery life is only 2.5 to 3 hours….
but aside from this—-IM STILL LOVING MY XACTI

Give your answer to this question below!

I am looking for a digital camera that can shoot pictures at best quality and clarity and should also record full hd video for a longer time(AT LEAST 1 HOUR). I saw many Sony handycams with lower mp say 2 or 3mp but they say that they are competent of recording hd videos with best quality. I just want to question that whether video clarity depends upon mp or not? Delight suggest a camera . I am also confused between two brands – Sony and CANON. PLEASE PROVIDE ME FULL INFORMATION.
THANKS.
My budget is under RS. 15,000 (INR). I also want to question whether camcorders can take fantastic looking photos or not?
Thanks.
Basically i would use it in wedding ceremonies, tours ,and also sometime make small length hd movies and upload it to YOUTUBE AND PHOTO SHARING sites as well.

You would need to spend in excess of $ 3500 in order to get a HD camcorder that can even come close to the video Quality of a $ 300 MiniDv Tape camcorders videos.

Consumer level HD camcorders, henceforth renowned as ‘camcorder(s)’ have two major faults. as follows. Fault one, movement. If any one in front of a recording camcorder, moves, there are screen ghost and artifacts following that movement in the finished video. Fault two, fuzzy, blurry, out of focus areas around people in HD camcorder footage. View youtube videos, you will see what I am talking about. Another, not so much as a fault, record times are limited on hard drives and DVDs and sparkle memory. With MiniDV tape, it is as simple as changing a tape. One tape will give you 90 minutes of recording time.

You can get a Canon ZR 930 for about $ 300 and a ZR960 for $ 250. Both of these have Mic jacks. And both these camcorders have outstanding video Quality.

As far as MP values for video camera, forget them. They are for still cameras, 1.3 MB camcorder shoot excellent video.

Simply MP has nothing to do wint video cameras, its always measured in resolution, full hd being 1,920×1,080 charitable you just over 2MP You have to read the small print on the cameras discription to find this out, the makers want you to believe the Mp count is far higher than it is (video) if you want a camera that can give you 14MP then you need to be looking at red cameras, starting at $ 25, 000 for only the body.

Sony and canon, there is small difference between the two makes it just depends on what you are looking for and how much you want to spend.

Cameras (stills that take video) naturally have a limit on the quantity of video you can take at one time, either down to the maximum file size or protection for the camera against overheating, this is mainly a conundrum with consumer cameras. say less then $ 4,000.

I cannot give you Full information as you do not say how much you want to spend, less than $ 500, under 1000 under 2000 or more,
