Will old konica minolta external flashes work on sony digital slrs?

I have recently purchased a Sony A 200 digital slr camera and was wondering if I must purchase a new Sony external flash or can I use an older konica minolta flash? Or for that matter can I use a different brand external flash? Thanks in advance.

Maybe. As you know, Minolta had a proprietary shot shoe configuration which was adapted by Sony.

Call the Sony help line 800.222.SONY and ask about your specific flash unit

Some will work, and some wont. Sony has a flash compatibility chart located here:

missing – The Kindles

I have a Sony A200 Digital SLR camera, and I have two lenses for it that will be sold with it; 18-70 mm and 75-300.
I want to know exactly what I should do with the camera before I sell it and how I can price it right so I don’t get fooled with how much I am going to sell it for.

Check KEH to put an upper bound on your stuff. Consider selling on photo forums like Fred Miranda for a good deal. Ebay can also be a good choice though getting straight up cash from craigslist is nice.
