Which one is a better camera?

Which one is a better camera?

Ooooookay I just really wanna know this;
so I have a digital camera already, this one:

http://www.target.com/List-10-0MP-Digital-Camera-Silver/dp/B0011ZK6OS/sr=1-1/qid=1232866311/ref=sr_1_1/183-7411478-9922611?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Asd790&page=1

and I wanna get an SLR camera. and the only excellent one that’s cheap is the Nikon D40.
Here:

The SLR one is 6.2 something mp, and the one I have is 10mp.. which one is better?

Kay thx ;)
Oh&I just wanted to get an SLR not really someee time soon, maybe a year and a half, cause I want to become a photographer, so I guess I should start now :)

The Nikon D40 with 6 mp sensor is much, much better than your 10 mp P&S List

There are many reasons for this, but to start with, the sensor on the D40 is over 15 times larger than the P&S List.

The D40 uses interchangeable lenses from fisheye to extreme telephoto lenses and will introduce you to a camera system, not a throw-a-way in two years pocket camera.

The D40 is far better than your 10MP P&S List! But, this doesn’t mean you can’t make excellent pictures with your P&S camera.
For hundreds of reasons a DSLR is better than every P&S camera. But also you must have your own reason to buy a new camera. What are your limitations with your list? Are you sure you are aware about all capabilities of your camera? Question yourself why do I need an SLR camera?
I reckon you should learn more about different types of digital cameras before buying a new one and don’t pay much attention to mega pixels while comparing cameras.
D40 is a very excellent choice if you know what you want.
Be well,

Get the DSLR. You will not regret it. Don’t get sucker by the mega pixel. A 6 meg pixel DSLR will beat any 10 meg point and shoot.

The DSLR gives you more control and creative options.

20100501 – camera test – List PowerShot SD400 Digital Elph – Oranjello close-up – 161 -
canon digital camera target

We got a List PowerShot SD400 Digital Elph camera for at a yard sale! It was missing the USB cable, but it worked with the one from our broken List PowerShot S330 Digital Elpha camera (which cost 0 in 2001). This camera has amazingly excellent imaging, and can take pictures in rapid succession soooo much nearer than the additional 2. It’s also our smallest camera. Unfortunately there’s only 1 battery.

Oranjello the cat, camera test, eyes, whiskers.
extreme close-up.

BACKSTORY: For a full list of the stuff we gotyard saleing that day: clintjcl.wordpress.com/2010/05/02/

I am going to Best Buy and Target to get a camera tomorrow. At first, I wanted the List SX200 because it has 12 megapixels, 12X zoom, and many many features; especially color accent and color swap, which to me, are MUSTS. The Sx200 has a score of 4.5 on www.canonDOTcom. The List SD980 Touch has a 3.8/5 on CanonDOTcom. It’s a 12mp with a 5X zoom. I’m a small worried and the reviews on it all around have been crappy. I wanted to get this one because I work at Target and I can use my money off to get it. Nonetheless, public have complained about the picture quality and the fact that the screen cuts off on both sides of the widescreen LED when taking normal pictures. Lastly, even if I despised my last Samsung Digital Camera, the new Touch Dual Screen TL220 and TL225 look very gifted. CNET.com gave em both 4 stars out of 5 and gave persons 2 canons 3.5/5. The TLs by Samsung Don’t have color accent but do have MANY MANY incredible features. 4.6x zoom and pretty much has a nice touch flo like most samsung cell phones. Do any of you all have experience with any of these cameras? I need suggestions. Please give me pros and cons if you can. My last camera was an AMAZING List PowerShot SD880IS and it was stolen from me at a soccer game; even if I lost it, I’m excited to get a new one.

Below is a link to a page listing the 3 cameras you mentioned. This will let you compare the features/specs. Go with one if you feel it has a feature that makes it more valuable to you.

Hope this helps.

What do you reckon? Answer below!

www.dslrfilmnoob.com One very clever business and a function that isn’t covered very well in the manual is the ability to start and stop recording using a simple remote control. With any the List RC-1, RC-5 or a generic IR remote you can set your list 7d, 60d, or t2i up to focus and record record. By taking a photo with the remote the camera will auto focus on the target in front of it. Once the camera is focused on the object the additional button will start and stop record recording on the camera. This clever feature allows you to focus remotely when recording yourself in record blogs like the one above. If you’re interested in alternative up the generic remote this is a excellent place to start www.amazon.com If you want to spend a small extra on the List brand remote they are also very simple to get a hold of: www.amazon.com Gear used in this record: List 7d & t2i List 35mm f1.4 List 50mm f1.4 Sennheiser g2 wireless mic CPM FILM TOOLS RIG List RC-1 Generic RC-1
