Which digital camera brand is best?

I had a list digital camera that recently stopped working, so I need a new digital camera because to get it fixed would cost about the same as a new camera. What camera brands are excellent? Something basic is all I need, I’m 14 and I’m the only one that uses the camera besides my dad, no one else in my family really does.

Requirements for the camera:
1) Digital
2) Basic
3) Zoom
4) Excellent quality

And if possible, send reviews of the camera please!

Pentax Optio W10 6.0 megapixel is the best! It takes fantastic quality pictures and it is waterproof! Pentax makes the only waterproof camera, and it rocks! I got one for $ 270 at Wolf Camera last year. I am sure they have a newer model by now, but beyond doubt get the waterproof–underwater pictures are awesome!!

It would have helped if you mentioned how much you’re spending and how much zoom. I recommend the List PowerShot A630. 4X optical zoom, 8 megapixels. According to Website dpreview.com Beach Camera has it for $ 182-
For a small camera consider the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55.

It’s a wonder I still gave this to my girlfriend

I have always had excellent experiences with my Kodak cameras but none of the newest models appeal to me, so after reading so many reviews on how fantastic CANON cameras are, I thought I’d look into a few of them.
I really like the 10x zoom on the 110 and tz5 and the 28mm wide anlge lens on the 880 and tz5. but i have read the tz5 does not produce excellent pics in low light situations, which is my primary social class of indoor shots of my 4 kids. i like the playback feature without powering up the camera on the 110, but i read the flash recycle is a bit longer than the 880. any help or suggestions?

Panasonic cameras usually suffer from noise conundrum even in low ISO. Between the SX110 and the SD880, it is pretty much a personal choice. Do you need the 10x zoom? If yes, go for SX110. If you want a compact camera that can be place into your pocket, go for SD880.

SX110 uses rechargeable AA batteries and the flash recycle time can take up to a few seconds. If you want to take pictures of kids, you may miss the moment.
