What's a good video camera for skateboarding?

Right now I have a Panasonic SDR-S26 but it’s standard quality and looks terrible on youtube. So in order to get better quality I want to start reduction up for an affordable HD camera. A lot of cameras that are HD are really expensive and I want to know if there is one with excellent quality for under $ 1000.

I have the SDR-S26, and all my YouTube videos are of fantastic quality. You are probably not using assess encoding methods. Use YouTube to search for record encoding tutorials, concerning different codecs and settings. Save your money for a tripod.
