D90 is not the best. Nikon has better. consider D300 or D700 or D3/D3x. or wait till the end of the month, I am hearing rumors of a DSLR launch in the end of the month or so … But D90 is not going to be replaced till 1 yr more …….

I have been in the digital camera world since purchasing my first digital camera in 1991. The camera had a picture resolution of 640 x 480, and stored the images on a 3.5″ floppy. Since then I have owned about 6 digital cameras.

I have heard about how excellent the Nikon cameras are from my semi-pro shooting buddies. In November of 2008, I bought some stocks hoping to make a quick two thousand so I may maybe by the Nikon D90 by Christmas time.

Well . . . it took me longer than I anticipated to make money on my stock picks. But now, low and behold, here comes the D5000, with the same sensor and engine, but at a much more moderate price than the D90.

The D5000 would have cost many thousands just a few years ago. And today, for under $ 800 delivered? At this price, Nikon is going to sell a lot of these cameras.

What does the D5000 offer me? 1. Fantastic pictures. 2. Awesome low-light capability. 3. Very quick operation. It is simple to hold and simple to steer the menus. This is the BEST camera I have ever owned. I really couldn’t question for anything more from a camera within this price range. The bottom line is handling and picture quality. The D5000 excels in both of these areas. I am so glad I read the many on-line reviews. I finally bought my first Nikon, and I’m loving it!

The best one is the Nikon D3X at 24.5 megapixel resolution, but it does not take videos. It costs $ 8,000 retail without a lens. It is the very top of the Nikon line and is one of the best digital SLRs in the world and for 8 grand it should be.

The best DSLR Nikon makes that includes record is the D90. It is the first DSLR in the world to include HD record. It has 720p 24 fps record – what the filmmakers like. It costs about $ 1,000 retail without a lens. It is not a fantastic camera for record, but no DSLR is because cameras calculated for record are not the same as cameras calculated to take pictures. The Nikon D5000 also takes high-definition videos but it is not as excellent a camera as the D90.

HOWEVER… Nikon has press conferences coming up on July 26th and August 4th and they might be announcing new models that can take record. If you are buying a camera I suggest that you wait until Nikon makes its announcements because what you seek might be announced then and not be available now.

Help..the volume on my digital camera is not working. it records a record and you can play it back but there is no audio. i tried downloading the record to my computer but still no audio. I’d be grateful for the help. thx♥

Sorry to be the holder of terrible news, but your camera doesn’t record sound at all.
Quote from a review in PCMAG, “I was satisfied with both its picture quality and in-camera features, but the lack of a viewfinder and the inability to record record with sound hurt the camera’s rating.”

if yours does

and increase the volume
