what other types of camera makes better picture quality strength than the NIKON D50?

i would like them listed in terms of picture quality strength and resolution in descending additional. Also what additional type of camera (higher than the D50) would you recommend for making classic evergreen fotos of very high resolution. it may maybe be of any make or model.
i’m an amateur photographer
No lectures please, just give me some names of excellent cameras (make and model) capable of producing better quality photographs with higher resolution.

pretty much any Nikon, List, Sony, Pentax, etc camera that is out there at the moment…

though, you should remember that it isn’t the gear that makes a excellent shot, but the talent behind the gear…

The single most vital things in making sharp images are:
1. The photographer
2. The optics (lens)
3. The photographer
4. The photographer

We use different cameras mostly based on specialized features, but the photographer is pretty much always more vital than the camera. I suggest buying a tripod before investing in a new camera. Also consider taking some photography lessons. The more you know the better (and sharper) yours images will be.

You dont want much, do you.
Have you heard of the words Please and Thank you?
Well, they cost nothing but go a long way.

As for your question, why no go to a camera store and question?

I settled on the Nikon D90 as I may maybe not make for myself spend the money on the D700.

Let me make it simple for you. The answer is any camera by a known manufacturer. Go to a camera store and question the salesperson to show you entry level digital SLRs. Pick the one that feels right to you and which has controls that are simpler for you to know. Don’t let him talk you into going up another tier. It will make him a better commission, but it won’t help you at all at your level.

Why am I life so glib? It’s because with the quality of today’s cameras, the limiting business on picture quality is the photographer and the skills that he or she brings to the camera. You sound relatively inexperienced. So the greatest room for improvement right now is for you to learn better photographic skills, not to get a different camera.

Nikon D50

I have a Nikon D50 and for some reason when I take photos in low light enviornment its like the camera tries to compensate and the shutter speed is exceptionally slow. Also when it takes the photo it looks nothing like what I intended. How do I capture a shot at night just like how it looks?

Answer by gryphon1911
You need to know what the camera is doing and why.

The camera wants to compose an average scene with average lighting.

If you want something else, then you’ll need to get out of the AUTO and green modes and start shooting manually.

You’ll also want to use tripod.

learn manual exposure and manual focus, use 5600k white balance

i use film for night shots, if you work around 100iso F8-11 4-15seconds should nail most exposures

Griffith Park Observatory, November 2006, freezing cold at night. :-(

List 5D, List 16-35 mm f 2.8 L and List 100 mm f 2.8 Macro.

The camera set the speed shutter at 10 seconds. It was waaaay overexposed. So I vetoed it, and place it in manual mode, and set it at 1.5 second instead, and I thought it looked better.

Absolutely you need a tripod. I forgot my cable release–so I place it on a self timer. Additional public permanent near me were taking photos with flash (which didn’t work really).

Hope this gives you some thought.

ISO was at 500.

You can spend a few thousand more on a camera with advanced long-exposure noise reduction, low noise high ISO, image stabilization, and a built-in intergalactic gargoblaster.

Or 50 bucks for a tripod.

Up 2 U.

Using “Bulb (B)” shutter speed, with tripod and get longer times like 30 seconds or 45 seconds or 60 seconds to capture images at night .You must try several shots for night photos.
