What is the best digital camera to get?

I want to get a new digital camera, maybe from like kodak or sony. I want it to be able to plug into a wall to charge, because the batteries get really annoying. And, I want it to be under 300. Maybe touch screen? I’m not sure. But what is the best digital camera to buy?

I have 2 different Sony Cybershots. They are my favorite camera. Very nice, and you plug the battery in to charge it. They both hold alot of pictures.

All rechargeable batteries are charged outside the camera. Li-ion batteries hold their charges longer and can last up to five years or longer.

go with a sony because they dont use batteries . higher mega pixles r better

This is a Targus High Speed SD/SDHC/MMC Card Reader/Writer. I got it at Wal-Mart, and it has allowed me to never carry my camera cable again! I keep it in my purse with my digital camera and I can upload anywhere I can get to a computer!

I want to find the best quality digital camera for my money. I did do a Good Housekeeping search but it was not helpful. I want something along the lines of Good Housekeeping where someone has tested the product. Is there a photo /camera organization/association even out there? I want to get the best digital camera for my money and what I can afford.
