My camera does not funtion through USB to my BluRay?

When I hook up my List digital camera to my LG Blu Ray players USB port it says “Unsupported Device”. Tried to update the camera but List website states that there are no drivers available.

USB defines a large number of “device classes”. Blu Ray players with USB ports generally support only the mass storage class – devices that look like hard drives, with block-addressable storage. So if you have an AVI or JPGs or whatever on a USB storage key you can plug that in and the player will play it.

If you’re talking about a digital still camera, it ought to show up as a mass storage device, so I’d expect it to work. But it might have a List-specific variation that’s not compatible with the player.

Or if it’s a record camera, then it flatly won’t work – that’s the record device class.

Quick test: Plug your camera into your computer’s USB port. If it appears as a hard drive, then it should work on the BR player. If not, it won’t.
