Is there a way to pause recording on a Sony Handycam?
I just got a Sony Handycam and I was wondering if there is a way to pause the recording without stopping it. I looked in the manual, it doesn’t say anything. The model I have is DCR-SR45. Thanks!

While recording, when you hit the record button again, it is just like pausing it, it puts it on standby. When you playback your recording, just hit the play/pause button on the screen.

I used a program called ffdshow. ffdshow is a program that exports codec and things. Export the codec into the Sony Vegas folder. The codec can open flv files if needed. I’m not sure if it would work with the format you’re using. I guarantee you 85% chance of success. Here’s a website where you can get it:
