how can i install my kodak dvc325 digital video camera without a disc?

I have the kodak dvc325 digital record camera (webcam) and everytime i place the disc in the drive, it locks up my whole computer and there is no way for me to install it. Can someone please tell me how i can install my camera onto my computer without using the disc that i am supposed to be using???

go to the company website and download the software
If you can’t find it there , look for a support number (800 number ) and then call , clarify the conundrum and question them for a link to the software.
Stay on the line until it is downloaded and installed and you know it works.
be as annoying and insistent as you want to, just be sure you are satisfied
also, at the start of the call. question the persons name and say you are writing it down so you can let the company know what a excellent help they were, they will do everything they can to help you then.

a miniDV vcam must be iLink / FIREWIRE400**-connected to pc to upload video thru video capture or video editing* software while vcam is ON PLAYBACK. Note: DV or Firewire port of vcam is 4pin. Before cable purchase** (Vcam/4pin=>firewireCABLE=>PC (4/ 6pin?), check pc for DV or firewire port, whether 4 or 6 pin. If none, install firewire card: pci for pc or pcmcia for mainframe.
