yet, another question about camera's?

yet, another question about camera's?

ok, from my previous question, i’m guessing that the Fuji Finepix 10.0MP Digital Camera (S1000FD) isn’t exactly the “best” camera, atleast according to the review i read : http://www.digitalcamerareview.com/default.asp?newsID=3514&review=fuji+finepix+s1000

so i went shopping around looking at camera’s today, and started looking at the olympus camera’s, and saw one that caught my eye, the Olympus SP570 UZ and i read some reviews on it, and it seems to be a very excellent camera… but all this stuff about excellent camera’s and which one is better can get VERY confusing, so my question is:

1. which one out of the two takes better pictures
2. which one is worth every penny
3. which one is excellent for someone who wants excellent pictures/quality/etc…
4. OR is there a better camera that isn’t too expensive.

also, if ANYONE owns any camera, i’d really like to hear what you have to say.
please and thank you :)

I have used three different point and shoot digital cameras. They all have the conundrum of not taking a picture at the exact time you press the shutter button. There is always a delay to focus, set exposure. By the time all that is ready, the subject has went on, or the opportunity is past. I then bought a Nikon D60 SLR camera, and it reacts instantly, records instantly, and you can take a series of pictures very quickly. I just shot some soccer players, and was able to capture the ball whenever I wanted it to be in the picture. The only conundrum with any SLR is the cost. Mine cost about $ 700.00, but worth every penny.

I have an Olympus E-300 and I’m interested in getting it internally cleaned.
I know of a few community camera shops around, but I was just wondering about how much it would cost.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
While I haven’t changed lenses in a sandstorm…
It’s a few years ancient and I haven’t been the only owner.

How dirty is it? It is VERY unusual that dirt and dust gets into a DSLR unless the user leaves the body laying around with no lens or lens cap on it or chooses to exchange lenses in a dust storm.

My guess is it will cost upward of $ 100, but until you really call the repair shop and question, you will not know
