Why does my JVC video camera take long pauses during playback?

Why does my JVC video camera take long pauses during playback?

I have a JVC digital record camera that takes DV tapes, and whenever I play a tape back with kind of a lot of footage it like takes breaks after a date with the blue screen with the time and date blank just blinking and sometimes takes a few minutes to seen whats next on that tape. Any way I can exchange the settings so this doesn’t happen, just to replay the entire tape without any pauses?

Answer by lare
it sounds as if the tape was recorded with spaces/erasures between takes. this sometime happens if you stop to playback and review the picture immediately after shooting. the tape is not automatically re-cued to last excellent record when restarting. no fix for this tape. you need to be sure there is still a picture when pausing after reviewing a shot, then the camera can assemble the record as continuous clips, otherwise you will continue to get gaps and unrecorded sections.

You can go to the jvc website to order a dv cable. It cost $ 30.00 part # vc-vdv204u. I’ve been trying to download for myself, it kept saying you need IEEE 1394 device. It doesn’t come with the camcorder. It came with a CD for downloading pictures. JVC GRD70 Hope i was helpful
