When is the Best Time to Buy a HDTV?

When is the Best Time to Buy a HDTV?

I am currently in the market for a HDTV. I know that I want a 1080dpi LCD screen to go with my PS3. Consumer Reports said that I’d get the most bang for my buck if I bought a 46″ or 47″ inch screen, rather than a 42″. The price difference is a couple hundred dollars. I was wondering when I’d get the best sale price. I’ve found conflicting information when searching in Google. Some sites say that before the holidays (December) is the best time of year. Others say that I should wait until the week former to the Superbowl. Additional sites say that September is the best time, because the next year’s models come into stock. Are all the prices the same at these times? I really don’t have a ton of money to spend on a nice set and want to get the most for the amount that I have to spend.

In the retail TV trade they have selling seasons. Always before holidays/huge events the price will increase and discounts are limited – so buy now. If your looking for the ‘latest next year models’ you will pay more for them. Nothing incorrect with the current models bought at a excellent price – everything new carries a 12 month warranty – why pay more if you get the ‘specs’ you want on a ‘earlier model’ – all modern TV’s are excellent value.

Choose the price that suits your pocket and go shopping for the best deal – whatever screen size you want.!!

Always remember – these supplies have to sell these things – so stand your ground for a ‘excellent money off deal’ with whatever you buy.

I’ve looked at Consumer Reports and read some reviews online. I like to get everyone’s opinion on the excellent, the terrible and the “hideous.” So far the Garmin Nuvi 350 is looking pretty excellent. I’d like to stay around $ 300 or under.
MelDogg, I don’t know how that answers my question. Keep answering questions like that and you’ll be flagged for abuse. (I’m sure you care.)
