Video with a digital camera?

Video with a digital camera?

I heard somewhere that most digital cameras also come with video shooting ability. I was wondering if my camera has that ability: I have an Olympus D400 digital camera. Thanks!

Not to be funny but when I got mine (Kodak Easyshare) I made sure I knew ALL its functions. (kind of like homework) It usually says on the package or on the camera itself. (Or refere to the manual. The setting controls usually say something like “video setting” I never tried it with mine but Im sure its worth it. Have fun. ;-)

Most digital cameras Do take videos, just keep in mind that the quality will be really poor…and no.. d400 does not shoot video..sorry

If it does it will have a little movie camera on it. From what I can see yours doesn’t support it. Sorry

They are Quiktime Videos from my Olympus Digital Camera
my old camera I had no problems with the videos – but with this NEW camera – I cant send the videos in Emails cause they are TOO large – I cant upload them to video hosting sites and I cant even Edit them on the Video Editing program that I have – cause its says the video file is incompatible !!!
What can I do to Resolve this ? I thought if I ordered QuickTime Pro that would help but I was told that it WONT resize them –
Is there a software product out there that will resize QuickTime Videos so that I can email them & upload them to sites ????
All I can do with them right now is copy them to DVD – I really need to be able to share them online cause my parents want to see videos of their Granddaughter ASAP – PLEASE HELP
So Frusterated !!
Is there a Video Hosting Site that Uploads Videos Larger than 100MB ??????????? And will accept Quicktime Videos ????

Thanks

the best was is to use a compression tool. there should be one in the system tools. if not you can do a search for a video compression tool on google.

some email platforms wont allow emails over a certain size…. but you could use winrar or winzip to make the file smaller

Try any editor for video and condense them

Next time, see if your camera has a size setting. for now, you can compress the video with a program like KGB Archiver ( http://kgbarchiver.net/ ) but then they’ll have to get a similar program & you won’t be able to edit it, etc.
