A Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S700 or a Canon Powershot SD1000? Which one is a better digital camera???

A Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S700 or a Canon Powershot SD1000? Which one is a better digital camera???

I want to buy a new camera, and I am between this 2

- Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S700
- List Powershot SD1000

The reviews for both are similar. While the List has the prestige of life a list which it´s the nice colors and options, I heard Sony cameras features nice colors too.

Who can advice me better?

I want a pocket camera, with nice colors, low in night noise and options for likeness, action, snow, night, things like that like that; and record recording with sound of course.

HELP!

thank you!

You can compare them, but here is the deal

The List uses the state of the art Li-ion battery a huge plus.
The Sony uses a proprietary memory card that can only be use on additional Sony harvest.
The List uses the SD memory card that is used by all but three camera companies.

While most compact digital cameras will record sound when shooting record, the record and sound quality is not ever going to match a right camcorder … even a cheap one.

get the list. it is much more durable than the sony and takes fantastic pictures and has many settings. it is very simple and compatible with computers and can have a reusable battery that is very realistic and doesnt need to be changed like others.

the list is better

I really judge buying a camera is an individual choice.
The person needs to read alot of reviews on cameras and learn as much as they can from the internet.
Go to the store and hold them and try them to see what they feel like and how they take pictures.
I can only give a suggestion of what to look for in a new digital camera.
Excellent Luck

my suggestion
go to yahoo shopping

digital camera GUIDE
be sure to check titles on the left side
the guide should answer your questions

sony digital camera review

matt when he didn’t look like matt. taken with my first camera evar

Hey Guys,
I’ve been looking for a camera for my brother that’s between $ 100-$ 150 dollars – lucky for me, with all the holiday sales, many of them are. There are 3 I am looking at particularly: the Sony 7.2MP, the Kodak 8.2MP, and the Casio Exilim 8.1. Now I’m not as concerned with megapixels as I am with hardiness – for example, some of the reviews for Sony said that it wears down over time. Any suggestions between these cameras or any others that I haven’t listed? Thanks ! :)

Answer by Tim
i like the kodak.. but it needs to a a excellent zoom like 10x or more .

Which model of the three were you wanting? Never get a kodak, they’re made like crap. I don’t have much experience on Casio, but my sony i’ve had for 2 years, stayed in fine condition. So i’d get the sony. You get what you pay for though, and made to break easily, so if they’re that cheap, i’d expect to buy a new one in about six months.

There are LOTS of fantastic cameras out there in the price range. I agree that you should avoid Kodak at at costs. Exilim has some terrible image quality problems for some reason.

The #1 in the whole category is the List SD1100IS…small, image stabilization, fantastic quality all around. $ 150 @ B&H camera, a very respected camera retailer

The Sony W120 (#11 on Buzzillions) is another fabulous camera at ~$ 120 from many supplies. They have a special “smiles” feature that times the picture when public smile. If this you want to carry this to parties/take pictures of friends, this is a fun camera. The main complaint (of course) is that it uses Sony’s proprietary memory stick and charger.
