Q&A: can you watch mini videos taken in a digital camcorder in any device other than a digital video cam?

I shoot some record in a mini record digital camcorder but i dont have the camcorder anymore and was wondering if there is a way that I can watch the mini videos additional than with the camcorder?

You may maybe get a miniDV tape deck, but they are pretty expensive. Probably cheaper to get a miniDV tape camcorder for before a live audience back…

No, you cannot playback miniDV tape in a VHS VCR. No, the “caddy” is used only for VHS-C (and are analog – miniDV tape is digital so VHS VCRs won’t be able to read the data).

I have a digital camcorder. It works fine outside, but inside starting around 4:00PM it records really dark. Any way to fix this?

Most consumer level camcorders don’t work well in low light – your only real option is to switch the lights on! You can play around with the brightness and contrast when you’re control but the results are rarely much of an improvement. Don’t forget to check your white balance if you’re changing the lighting.
