Please be as specific as you can. Can you als provide web site that are along the lines of consumers reports?
I want to get id of the cable box along with the wire that go along with it. I was told that by buying this devise I can put the box in another room and then put the little infared light on the tv.

I’m not sure what you are asking but I have one of these. The programming of it is over the Internet and while it is easy to set up, you should have some computer and electronics experience to customize it.
