I have a Panasonic mini dv digital camcorder, how can I transfer a video recorded on the tape to an sd card?

A few things:
You’d really have to place the record onto your computer first. You’ll have no thought how huge the record is unless you do that. Also it depends on how your camcorder encodes/tapes your record.

So transfer it to your computer first. See how huge a record is. You may have to convert to mpg first. Once you know that you can transfer it via usb to an sd card. (that’s huge enough to hold what you are putting on it)

By the way, huge earnings probably minimum of one GB.

1) the instruction manual
2) the cables that came with the camcorder
3) the software that came with the camcorder, or can be downloaded from the manufacturer’s web site

To capture digital record (DV) on your PC you need a Firewire (IEEE1394) port. There will be lots of folks out there who will swear that all you need is USB but that would be incorrect.

Also you’ll want to make sure you have lots of memory (at least 1GB ), lots of CPU (3Ghz) and lots of free disk space (1 small of DV = 1GB of disk space.
