how can i save a hd video from a camera to a non hd computer.?

i have the panasonic hdc-sd5 and every time i conect the usb, i cant find a folder with the record. I reckon its because my computer is not hd. Is there a way to save hd record on my computer.

It’s just a file transfer – your computer doesn’t care what sort of files they are. You should be looking for files with an M2T extension.

No such business as a “HD computer” or “not HD computer.” Even if your computer is ancient and slow, it can still copy and process the files. (Maybe you can’t play them smoothly or at full resolution, but that generally isn’t a conundrum.)

Did you install the software that came with the camera? Did you read the manual, especially the part about hooking the camera up to your PC? Persons would both be brilliant places to start.

What do you reckon? Answer below!

Panasonic HVX200 DVCPRO HD Camcorder, I’ve written about the camera here.

i’m looking for a HD Record Camera. it has to be durable because me an my amigos skate bmx and surf. there has to be a fish eye lens that fits the camera, plus i want to have a water proof case able to fit the camera. of course it has to be in a decent price range. i will accept no over $ 1000.

i have this panasonic camera, but there wasn’t a cable that i needed to connect the camera to the computer. i guess u have to buy it seperately… so i want to beasured that all the cables for the camera are built-in.

and my friend has a jvc camera, but u need some special downloadable converter on his computer so that the videos can fit into windows movie maker. and we are not aloud 2 download stuff like that onto our parents computers. so it has to already fit with the computer format

mucho gracias
