Can I use my digital camera as a Web Cam?

I have a Canon Powershot SD750 and i was told that my perticular camera could serve as a digital camera…is this true?
if so how can i use it or what accessories do i have to buy?

No, you can’t use your camera as a webcam.

You need remote capture in order to convert to webcam, your model does not support remote shooting/capture.

It cannot be used as a webcam.You can get a good webcam for under $ 20.

well one- do you think this is a good remote (why/why not?)
my second question is-what does it mean by the built-in infrared reciever and how does that work out?
i’m just looking for a remote i can use as a beginner photographer…that isn’t too complex,works fast,and is cheap.
