What would happen if I defaulted on my Best Buy Credit Card?

So I know with a car they repo your car, but what happens if you dont pay your best but credit car bill. Does it just go to collections or will they repo the stuff you bought with it? Can they repo it? I mean they would have to break into my house. Will they try to stiffen my pay checks (whats left of them)? Just curious, I reckon that all they can do is send it to collections but obviously I dont know and could very well be incorrect.

They will send it to collections (so an entirely different company will own the debt) and then the pool company will eventually take it to court–at which time they would have the law on your side in any actions that they pursue. They will not come after the specific thing you bought unless that happens to be the item of most value. It is simpler to get the money by a lien on your mortgage or something similar.

Usually after 180 days, they co will charge off the account and report it to the credit bureaus. That will stay on your credit report for 7 being. This could also effect your rate on car insurance because now most insurance companies run credit reports to make sure that you can make the payments. The last part is right, they can sell to a pool agency and they can call you in anticipation of the day you die. There’s an ancient saying in the pool business,” If you’re gonna be a thief, make sure you can retire from it”.
