How do I replace the LCD screen on my Nikon Coolpix S550?

The screen cracked, and I found a replacement online, but couldn’t find instructions on how to replace it. Any help is much appreciated!

Unless you are a trained camera repair person, I doubt that you can fix your camera yourself. Call Nikon at 800-NIKON-UX and see what it would cost to have it repaired properly. You might be better off just export a new one.

Any thought how to fix this for myself if possible? It still takes pictures but the screen no longer works. The backlight comes on.

The warranty obviously doesn’t take in abuse, and dropping a camera is considered abuse. You can call Nikon and question what it would cost to fix it, but it may be just as cheap to buy a new camera.

Next time, be sure to use the wrist strap at all times.
