what is the best digital camera to buy (in India) between the range of Rs5000 and Rs7000?

i need a digital camera between the range of Rs5000 to Rs7000.
and i wanted to question if a digital camera can record a record or not?

please help me with this one

First, your shooting stylishness; if you’re looking for a simple, quality point and shoot that you can just turn on, shoot and make excellent pictures w/o having to be a pseudo pro shutterbug? If thats the case, for about 7000Rs you may maybe get a List PowerShot SD1200 IS. Fantastic camera for the $ $ , fantastic image quality, performance, etc. ( Has Image Stabilization which helps eliminate persons “blurry” shots). I find List to be top notch, and I’ve owned Panasonics,Olympus and Nikon harvest. Note- if you bargain hunt (eBay, e.g.) this model can be found for less, around 6000Rs ($ 130 US dollars or so).

also- this camera shoots record, with sound …”The PowerShot SD1200 IS’ Movie mode can capture VGA and QVGA movies with sound, at 30 frames per second for up to one hour (or 4GB per clip). Record quality is pretty excellent, easily replacing the family camcorder for simple record snippets”
