How is this camera: Canon Digital Rebel XTi 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm Lens?

May maybe yous please give me your opinion on this camera and what the average price this camera is. Also, is the next step up from this camera the 20d? If no, what is? If yes, would it be worth my money to pay a couple hundred more (if that’s an accurate price increase) for the 20d? I will be using the camera for professional quality photos and hopefully to supplement my income in the future.
Thanks for your help!

yes, it is a excellent camera and will take fantastic pictures depending if your buying it new or used. and its going to be a small pricey I’m not sure how much.
and it all depends on what your using the camera for if your taking model shots or scenery but if this is something you really want to do then i would buy the more expensive camera

If in doubt I’d place your money into better lenses! It’s a fine camera, and 10mp is much better than many pros were using until relatively recently.

That is a fantastic camera. You may also be interested in the newer version which will be coming out soon, the XSi. Another fantastic camera, if you can afford it, is the List 40D.

This is a fine camera. It will run about $ 700.00. The next step up is the XSI and this will run about $ 900.00. The 20D has been discontinued but you can still find some new ones if you look around. If you are just starting out and money is a concern I would get the XTI and invest any extra money in a better lens. Unless you are prepared to spend $ 5,000.00 and get a camera with a full size image sensor it wont make any difference which DSLR you have. The lenses can make a huge difference though.

What do you reckon? Answer below!

I want to know whether a List Digital SLR Camera or Nikon Digital SLR Camera is a better choice? Only answer if you have experience with any, please.

Probably looking at:

List – EOS Digital Rebel XS 10.1-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera

OR

Nikon D3000 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera
