What's the best digital camera to buy,computer monitor,and DVD recorder?

I’m going shopping,what is the best digital camera to buy,computer monitor,and dvd recorder with a dual vhs deck to record ancient vhs movies .
I am leaning towards the Samsung Syncmaster 19″ monitor for computer,Panasonic DVR recorder with vcr combo with DVR,and a cannon power or super shot digital camera..What is a excellent one to get,with adequate pixels and simple to transfer onto a computer Cd. thanks in enhancement for your answers.

I’m a UK filmmaker looking to buy my first digital video camera. I’m looking for a versatile camera that preferably records to digital media (hard drives, memory cards, ect), although this is not absolutely necessary. I will largely be shooting narrative dramas and music videos. What is the best camera to buy for under £3000?

Hard disk drives (HDD) are subject to problems, such as hurt from the camera being dropped or abruptly jolted, used in high altitudes, etc. Thus you could loose all your video.

For your budget, check out these:
Canon HX1s (uses miniDV tapes)
Sony HVR-V1U (uses HDV tape)
Panasonic Pro AG-HMC150 (uses SD/HC memory cards)
