whats the most i should pay for a canon gl2 camcorder?

i’m looking to buy i canon gl2 and i see them priced 1800-2800 so i know the lower prices have to be fake. what price should i expect to pay for the camera?

Dont look to buy GET ONE! they are a very excellent camera, it will grow with you, as your skills develope you can use more of the features of the camera

I would be looking for somewhere in the middle, but if you can get the camera cheaper all the better.

I was wondering what I need in order to edit footage on my computer with my new Canon GL2 video camera? I just have the camera and some lenses. I don’t have any cables or anything. What cables do I need and what hardware do I need in order to get footage from the camera onto my computer?
I’m by a PC

mac: firewire cable and imovie is the minimum, but you should invest in at least final cut express for $ 400.
PC: dont know about the software other than adobe premiere, which is a professional program that will empty your wallet. but you will also need a firewire cable for that.
ps-only buy professional quality DV tapes for that camera.

About the cables, perhaps your title-holder’s manual has details – or perhaps the manufacturer.

You’re going to need some high dollar software to handle footage of that quality and size.

I am assuming the camera uses some kind of memory device, as in a card? Perhaps a card reader will help.
