By scenery all adjustable cameras are as simple or trying to use based upon your skill level
ANY DSLR can be used as a point and shoot camera by the program mode and auto focus.
The results of any camera is again, based upon the skills of its user.
Go onto a camera store and hold both the Nikon and Olympus cameras in your hands. See which is simplest for you to use without any instruction. There will be your answer.

In both the Nikon and Olympus shape, you have a wide range of cameras. Which is simpler to use depends on many things, including the size of your hands, what type of camera you’re already used to, and most importantly, the responsibilities you want to perform with your camera.
For some people, “simple to use” means the largest screen and the fewest digit of buttons.
For some people, “simple to use” means the most buttons for manual settings (setting manual aperature or shutter speed or white balance or exposure mode, etc…)
Reading other people’s opinions is nice, but you need to go to a excellent camera store that carries both brands, pick up the cameras, play with them, and you’ll know pretty quickly which one you’re more comfortable with.
