Is seasonal employment at Best Buy worth it?
Just got a job offer to work as a cashier for Best Buy over the holidays (Thanksgiving/Christmas) with the possibility of continuing part-time afterward, but not guaranteed. To any current Best Buy employees, are the holidays that hectic and are you really pushed to sell people warranties and parts, etc. in a matter of seconds? Yeah it’s retail experience and yeah it’s a paycheck, but is it worth what sounds like overwhelming stress for $ 8/hr? Answers like “DON’T DO IT!” and “NOOOO!” are obvious so delight give more insight. Thanks.

DON’T DO IT!

Most employers will advertise for seasonal employment and then continue the employment if the person has done well. The work experience in organization, time management, priority setting, and polishing people skills that you buy will be invaluable.

Did a lot this day. First a visit to the employment office, later bought new shoes and ate lunch. Had an hour before work so went out to Maln, as you can see in this picture. Played with the DOF. Later work and in the evening went to celebrate my boyfriends grandmothers 75th birthday.
it was quite turbulent at Maln at there was a lot of dust in the pictures when I got home. Tried my best to remove it.

There is a pretty excellent chance that you will get to keep your job, just do go above and beyond. It’s pretty much a competition with the other seasonal employees.
