How do I pause my Canon PowerShot Digital ELPH, while taking video?

How do I pause my Canon PowerShot Digital ELPH, while taking video? Delight help! I’ve been struggling with this conundrum for quite some time, and I just can’t seem to find it in the directions, or online. Help!

Answer by Jim A
You can’t find it because it isn’t there. Unless you’re shooting video tape there is no pause.

Each time you stop the camera records the data to the card because the buffer isn’t huge enough to hold everything so it has to dump it off to the card.

What do you reckon? Answer below!

How do I make a one minute time lapse movie by a cheap digital camera and adobe premiere elements. Would I tape an object for 2 minutes or so and then speed it up in the editing process by the “quick motion” effect???? I want it to go very quick though, and I am not sure if adobe premiere elements will fulfill that need. If anyone has any thoughts, delight answer!!!

Just take the pictures at specific intervals and save them in order.
