Canon EOS Rebel XS versus Rebel T1i?

Canon EOS Rebel XS versus Rebel T1i?

I LOVE photography, I have been by a canon rebel film camera for being now, I now want to expand and get a high quality digital camera for art photography purposes. I am debating between two cameras.

Canon EOS Rebel XS
Canon EOS Rebel T1i

which one would be a better investment?
any key features one has the another doesn’t?

thanks! (:

Answer by fhotoace
They are both entry level cameras with differences that have to do with their features and build.

As you can see, they are technically pretty close in routine but for the ISO sensitivity of the T1i.

Go into a camera store and hold both in your hand and see which you like the best.

I would personally buy the least expensive camera and use the remaining money on a second lens.

I know there are quite a few postings on this, but some don’t have any REAL answers, and some seem unsure of their answers. PLEASE, if you OWN or know of someone OWNING a WATERPROOF DIGITAL CAMERA, I would like like like to get some feedback from you. I need to weed out what’s not that fantastic and what is. Here’s what I would like:
-Waterproof and digital (of course)
-excellent resolution for poster size prints
-video capability
-records signal
-I won’t be “super diving”, so like 10, 15 feet waterproof is fine
Delight delight delight let me know. ALSO I found some that I like, but I can’t tell the differences. Does anyone know anything about these?:
Fuji Z33 -versus- Canon D10 I mean, these two (just for ONE example) seem EXACTLY the same, but are half the price of each other. Why? Delight any kind of advice/feedback/opinions/experiences would be so very greatly appreciated. ASAP! Thanks so much all!
Oh, and too, I’ve been searching more and see that there really are top 3 contenders: Canon PowerShot D10, Fuji Z33, and Panasonic Lumix FT1. Feel free to comment about ANY camera’s you know a excellent, but if you know some things about these that might make one better than the other like, Startup Time, Time between Pictures, etc, that would be fantastic. Oh and does anyone know if there is any underwater digital cameras that have VEIW FINDERS? Thanks sooo much again!

Olympus has pioneered cameras for “tough” service, including waterproof, freeze proof and crush proof. Their basic Point & Shoot models were previously designated “Stylus SW” (SW=Severe Weather). Though they are now altered the designation to “Stylus Tough” because they are putting additional emphasis on the shock/crush proof features.

Here is a link to their current models. You may also be able to find some bargains by looking for the grown-up models that dealers are now trying to sell off, just be sure to check the specifications to determine maximum safe depth. Make sure they have the SW designation!

Pentax has also been marketing some high durability models.

HTH. Excellent luck!
