Where to find the best deal on a washer/dryer?

Where to find the best deal on a washer/dryer?

Our ancient washer/dryer is on the last leg of it’s journey and my wife and I are looking for best options. Consumer reports gave really excellent reviews to one of the Frigidare (front loader) models and the washer is listed for aprox. $ 650 with matching dryer for about $ 550.

Everywhere is the best house to look for deals on these things, and is their any budge room with the larger dealers (Lowe’s, Sear’s, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc…)?

Answer by acrimony7
Both Lowe’s and Best buy have a price contest plus 10% if you find a better deal within an alloted time frame of export your appliances with them. I like the shiny and new but have you concidered looking at scratch and dent type seats. they dent or scratch may be on the side that you would never see! You never know in anticipation of you go to look. I would reckon there is conciderable discounts on these types of items.

We like Brandsmart for huge appliances. They always have the best prices in our area.

Many large dealers will guarantee the buck price, but the conundrum is, they will be the only dealer promotion a particular brand/model, so there really is not much wiggle room with pricing.

If you don’t mind used appliances, try looking in you local classified ads or at thrift shops.

Excellent Luck!

Look for a Sharp….it is the best vacuum I have ever had. It is really quite and powerful.
I also have a Dyson Animal and I reckon the Sharp is MUCH better and was half the price.

I have to say I like and really use my Dyson vacumn cleaner.. I despise to clean and I reckon I used to ruin or break each other vacumn no matter what I paid or everywhere I bought it in anticipation of I found this one,,, I have had no problems ever with it and I use it more than anyone I ever had. It never needs bags or filters or belts or I never had to buy any . This is my 4th yr of having it ..Most others only lasted about 1 -2 yrs…Check it out…Lots of people have and like it .. It costs more than most but is well worth it!!

If you can find a Dyson in your price range — get it!!! It is the best vacuum I ever owned and if mine died tomorrow I’d buy another one (But it has a 5 yr warranty so really I wouldnt have to buy one)…. They work fantastic and never clog and you dont need bags.

The vacuum I had prior to my Dyson was a Bissell and that is a excellent vacuum too… But it clogs.

I had Eureka before as well as a dirt devil and I wouldnt waste anymore money on one of those brands… pay the extra cash and get a vacuum you’ll have for a long time

Dyson. We’ve used just about everything else and had to keep export new ones but since we’ve bought the Dyson it’s lasted and lasted.

I tried to find it for you with a quick net search but couldn’t. But I will tell you one thing, the Dyson brand vacuums are always rated mediocre by Consumer Reports each year. And considering the fact that they are very high priced, it just doesn’t make any sense. You gotta give Dyson credit for their marketing, that people reckon they’re so highly rated. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a Dyson vacuum in the top 5 of any consumer reports ranking. They aren’t the worst either, but they’re just in the middle of the pack. Lots of colors and roller balls apparently don’t make a vacuum fantastic!
