Need Help to buy a good digital camcorder...?

so i need to buy a higher quality video camera. i do sales presentations in person and post online as well. can anyone make any excellent recommendations?

i wish i could only spend up to $ 300 bucks for one but i’ve been hearing the descent qualities are going to be in the $ 600 to $ 1,000 range.

your help would be greatly appreciated!

If you want excellent video quality you must pay $ 600-$ 1000 for HD camcorder and Canon is a excellent brand to get

I ordered this so I can record our vacation to the beach on my husband’s leave from Iraq. I’m not terribly familiar with various camcorders but after much research I chose on the Canon FS200 and I’m quite pleased. I LOVE that it has sparkle memory as I can easily carry extra cards and swap them out as needed. It didn’t take too long to charge and has a fantastic battery life. The picture quality is fantastic, mic picks up sounds well and the zoom is fantastic. I like how small and lightweight it is. The price is excellent too. I’m very pleased with this camcorder.

I have $ 300 worth of Best Buy gift certificates, and I’m looking into getting a digital camcorder. For that budget, usually standard definition camcorders are the only option, but they have a rather nice 1080p camcorder on sale for about $ 200.

Of course, that camcorder only has a 12x zoom, while the SD camcorders have up to a 72x zoom. So that’s a pretty drastic difference. I need a general-use camcorder, so which generally would be a better bet?

Does anyone have any recommended models or brands of camcorders?
