I bought a 3.1 mega pixel digital camera on sale but it turned out to be mega garbage?
And I bought compact flash memory for the camera, also
Now digital cameras don’t use compact flash. Is there a way to upgrade this camera by changing its circuit bord or something or they both are scrap now?

Hi
The CF card can be used with quite a few other cameras, but the camera per se can’t be upgraded. Just look out for some exchange / buy-back options and get rid of it asap.
For other new cameras do a little research before you buy, ideally 5+ MP camera is good for day-to-day shoot. A good reference website is www.dpreview.com
Sorry it turned out that way with your camera, better luck next time.
Cheers!

I FEEL YOUR PAIN. My first digital camera was an Olympus C700UZ. It used Smart Media memory cards. So of course I went out and bought eight of the highest capacity Smart Media cards I could find. Then my camera’s CCD sensor failed. Still under the extended warranty (which I highly recommend), the camera store offered a free replacement camera with the Konica-Minolta DiMage Z2. Only problem now was the Z2 uses SD memory cards.
You may be able to sell the camera and compact flash card(s) and then put that money towards a better camera.
Most cameras in the lower mega-pixel range take either xD or SD memory cards. Also note that a lot of these cameras have switched to proprietary battery packs.
Generally, more mega-pixels = better pictures. You want at least 4 mega-pixels for good pictures.
You could get a Konica-Minolta DiMage Z2 for around $ 140
If you’re in the market for a more pocket sized camera, I’d recommend the Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z120. It retails for $ 269, but I’ve seen refurbished ones going for around $ 160.
Ask yourself some questions before buying a digital camera. What is my price range? What kind of memory cards does it take? What kind of batteries does it take? How many Mega-Pixels do I need?
What do you think? Answer below!
